Beacon of the great tradition of the Russian piano school and one of the most celebrated pianists of our time Grigori Sokolov will be performing at the Helsinki Music Centre on June 14, 2018.

His first visit to Finland immediately after his winning of the Tšaikovski Competition in 1967 has been followed by a countless number of concerts and an especially warm relationship between him and the Finnish audience. Nowadays Mr Sokolov gives a concert in Finland once a year or less. His summer recitals at Musiikkitalo are gradually evolving to a greatly expected classic. To the current year’s program Grigori Sokolov has chosen Sonatas by Joseph Haydn and Impromptus by Franz Schubert.
